About the speaker:
Wanqian Guo, second-level professor (permanent appointment), doctoral supervisor, Harbin Institute of Technology. She has been selected for the national high-level talent program, the national young talent program and the "National Top Young Talents in Environmental Protection" program. She has also been granted the Harbin Institute of Technology Young Scientist Studio and is a member of the International Water Association (IWA). Her research mainly focuses on the treatment, disposal, and resource utilization of waste (water and solid), control theory and technology for high-risk organic compounds, and digital ecological environment. She has been involved in various engineering applications such as the utilization of diverse solid waste resources, pretreatment and advanced treatment of industrial wastewater, and digital urban environmental construction. She has led more than ten projects at the provincial and ministerial levels, including one national key research and development project (in the field of solid waste utilization), four national natural science foundation projects (in the areas of wastewater treatment resource utilization and new pollutant control), provincial collaborative innovation projects (in the field of digital environment), and several horizontal technology research and development and application projects. She has received one second-class national scientific and technological progress award and three natural science awards from Heilongjiang Province. She has published over 160 research papers, including more than 140 SCI papers (including 3 ESI hot papers and 14 highly cited papers), and 18 EI papers. Her SCI papers have received over 8,100 citations, and she has an h-index of 53 (as of September 2023). She has authored 2 books and textbooks and has been granted 6 national invention patents.
